Hi Everyone! Whoop! Whoop! Was another baking day for Jewel’s Treats today! ... My boys’ are STOKED!! Noses hit the air when the dough went into the oven and neither have left my feet as the last pan went into the oven. ( They have each had their tasting rights, ( me, as well) but, as usual... both are playing ‘cute’ now to try to melt me down for more!!!). Lol I have been blessed with more customer’s out of the city today! SOOOO incredibly thankful ! ....and honoured! ...humbled !.... ....that my product is making it’s way to our Fur Babies! I care! I have spent time in between re-loading pans, washing, and drying tools to research ‘Oats’. (Different milling and what each different kind brings into foods nutritionally and taste-wise....) Today I am leaning toward incooperating ‘steel cut’ oats into my recipes as well as my regular rolled oat flour.... Steel cut are made by cutting the ‘oat groats’ into 2 or 3 smaller pieces using a steel blade. (They are sometimes called Irish Oats. ) They are coarser, and tend to be a little chewier than other types... Jewel’s standard ‘rolled oat’ or ‘old fashioned’ flour is originally made flattening and steaming rather than cutting with the steel blade. Regardless of , all goes through MY Oster, to produce an extra fine granular flour that is then added into ‘Jewel’s Treats. ‘ (I have only managed to go through five of the fifteen pages of health benefits for Steel cut oats!! .......momentarily ....Lol) BUT!!!!! Among the KAZILLION health advantages of steel oats, it also enhances the flavour of these specific treats. It brings it’s very own nutty flavour RIGHT in the flour! (Like ALMOND!) (I processed the steel a bit more than ‘rolled oats’ in my Oster for consistency. It then blended beautifully!!!) So, these Peanut Butter Bacon bones taste even MORE nutty! Yummy-ness! JCT-2021

(Tailored!) My line flavours include, Peanut Butter Bacon, Peanut Butter Banana ( or ‘Elvis’) , Chicken Cheddar, Low Fat Carrot, Fresh C.A.P.P’s- (a minty dog breath bone), a Beef Cheddar and newest flavour ‘Blueberry-Banana!’ * I vac-seal every dozen for absolute freshness. *Product tag will ALWAYS include ingredients and BEST BEFORE dates on reverse. *Any treat can be custom SIZED for YOUR fur Baby . From 1-1/2- 5. (My 2 bone or a ‘Paw Cookie) is popular among smaller breeds)! * I mill ALL of my own flours for use in my treat line right here . * I can and have built treats for pups with overall health concerns. ( such as Diabetes)... * I research all the ingredients I currently use on a continual basis. ***editor’s add : Just because I thought I knew the kibble I was feeding... I DID NOT! So?? I TURFED it! The manufacturer is presently in court for endangering animal quality of life. Watch your products, even if you THINK you know. (They really DON’T care!)
