Check out this Alexa enabled super cool doorbell It can be a challenge sometimes when living in an apartment to know when someone is at your door. With a smart button like the flic 2, that is totally covered! Sometimes all the smarts you need can be in a tiny button!

As promised, here is our favourite application for the @flicsmartbutton ! We love having our VocoLinc smart diffusers spread through our home. however we hadnt found a way in which we could start all of them at the same time to do their magic. Scheduling didnt quite do it, sure we could start them one by one, through an app or with Alexa, but oh so much work! So the flic button was the perfect solution. Put one of these buttons on the wall and with a single press we can make all our smart diffusers start or stop at the same time, all through #homekit integration! Simply amazing! There are times in which you wish your home could do something by the push of one single button. No navigating through apps, no talking to any assistant. Just a single push of a button. Well, meet the flic 2 button. Working by itself paired with your phone or with its LR hub, these little buttons will enable you to do those tasks that only a button can do. A door bell comes to mind as a clear example. Use services like IFTTT to create a routine where Alexa announces when somebody is at the door, OR because its compatible with Apple homekit, create routines right from your iphone that will make your smart home even smarter! Every day new smart home products come to the market. So one must do some good research sometimes or go through quite some trial and error to find a good one. A good example is the products we’ll talk about in this post. The Brand Voco Linc. Last year they caught our eye because they came out with an original product, a smart oil diffuser! Being honest it was not great, it did not perform as one would have hoped, however with time they upped their game to the point in whic...h we can now say they are quite a good option! Their smart diffuser through several firmware updates and newer app versions is now a decent product. Combine it with some great essential oils (shout to doterra) and you are all set. And just now they are coming out with more smart products. As examples we have now power outlets, door sensors and the most interesting one: Light strips. Without a doubt the best light strips have been from Philips Hue or LIFX. However they are quite expensive. Buying more than one always makes anyone think twice about it! The vocolinc has come out with a very accessible price (half than philips hue) and the strip quality is quite comparable. Another plus from this brand is that they like to cooperate a lot, they are compatible with amazon alexa, google assistant and homekit. (to be honest these products we like them best because they work great with Siri through Homekit). Definitely a new option to consider while looking for smart home products. Apple came really late into the smart home assistant game, in fact even after it did, it hadnt even been a contender. Its original homepod was very expensive and was really nothing more than a very nice expensive speaker. Now things have changed though, Apple just came out with the Homepod mini. And makes more sense to buy. Whether it is better than amazon alexa or Google assitant, depends on different things. The video explains it very well. However in a nutshell, the homep...od mini is now a great option for people who are heavily immersed in an apple environment and are interested/have lots of Homekit devices. If you are a heavy apple user, you will find really nice features, ask it for directions to go somewhere and they will be ready to guide you in carplay when you get in your car. Send broadcast messages to other members of your family and they will receive it as a message on their phones, ask siri to send messages, to make phone calls. And lastly, it will allow you to control your homekit home devices with Siri when you are not at home. Plus it is said that the audio quality is really good. If you are an apple fan, we think the homepod mini will be a great purchase If you arent, you might do better with Alexa or Google assistant.
