Exterior Update! SWIPE FOR BEFORE AND AFTER! New windows and doors have given this place LIGHT! The smoke stained-burned windows had to be replaced. We decided to switch up the exterior design also and go with black trim instead of white as the roof is white metal and we plan on doing a white Hardi exterior. The new floor plan moved the entrance door over and we think it looks great! STAIRWAY - while this was a beautiful feature when you walked into the lake house it just made everything around it awkward. Once we removed the charred staircase it was unbelievable how bright and open the space became - we tucked the stairway on the east side and had enough room to put a huge window that will bring in the morning sunlight. Master Bedroom - the original plan was a bit awkward with a back entry and awkward traffic flow to get into through the closets off the kitchen. We chose to close in the back entry and expand the space. One thing we struggle with is having 2 bathrooms you end up having a beautiful master bathroom that no one sees and then create a small powder room for your guests. We chose to go with one beautiful bathroom that would be appreciated by all! By changing the layout we were ...allowed the vision to bring in huge windows into the bath and bedroom area to take advantage of the lake view and the amazing sunsets! All windows in the lake house had to be replaced either due to glass breakage or smoke damage. We selected new windows from @southernglassworks a local window and door company in Weyburn. We decided to change up the design concept of the previous owners and go with a black exterior frame with internal grills and a white interior for easy maintenance.
