Always awesome getting feedback from the changes customers notice after dentistry and how it really does affect the whole body. "Good morning One of the things I notice is how the fascia arrange it self before and after body work/ teeth work. This is before the teeth work in March and yesterday, a few months later. He always had his mane on both sides , and before you worked on him, it was only on one side- huge change!!!"

Great article nails the importance of proper regular dentistry. Especially in the younger years. Don't wait until they are having a problem and have me say, I needed to see this horse 10 years ago. " . . ."

I came across this last fall with a client of mine. Thankfully it wasn't this extreme. Just a reminder when adding a new slow feeder or grazing muzzle, to always monitor your horses teeth. One horse might not show any irregular wear, while the next will show a different story.

Couple of easy things to check for your horses mouth while keeping your fingers. The first two pictures are of uneven temporal muscles. Usually when one side is bigger than the other there is some dysfunction in the mouth. In this instance the horse was using her left side to chew, as she had a fairly significant wave on the right side. You can visually see the height difference in the first picture. Then in the second you can see that same muscle is tighter, from being used more. The other two pictures are of the same horses incisors before and after. She had virtually no lateral movement or any movement in her jaw actually. Incisors setup the guidance for the rest of the mouth and most definitely will affect the molars. Two easy things you can check on any horse!
