I hope you all had a very happy Galentine’s Day, Valentine’s Day and also Family Day over the weekend! Gearing up for my first Valentine’s Day in my new Collingwood studio was (exactly how I felt about Christmas) exciting and also scary as I set up shop just 3 short months ago, coming from being an established business and designer from my hometown of Cambridge (Hespeler for those who know ) to a whole new town where I only knew a handful of people! A huge thank you from th...e bottom of my heart is due to the gals behind @galentines who are always up for collaborating on fun ideas and initiatives to host interesting events while giving back to our community! This year we rolled out our #bestbuds flower gram program combined with a cocktail kit option from @lowdown.bar and guys; I had NO idea how many of you would love this idea as much as we did! Together, we raised nearly $1,100 to donate to @myfriendshousecollingwood and every time I think about how many roses were processed in my studio and then tagged and delivered by Lauren & Alix, makes my eyes well up Another huge thank you to the lovely business owners in town who I had the pleasure of collaborating with as well to bring blooms to you during your morning coffee, for your romantic dinner or to enjoy during a fun activity! @goodgriefcoffee @the_pine @hellopotteryco I look forward to so many more exciting projects together! To all of you who called up this new gal in town and trusted her to design something special to surprise your loved one with, to those of you who bought all the bouquets in record time, to those who sent your pals a flower gram; THANK YOU!! N E W S T U D I O H O M E Well guys, do you remember that week that I kept posting about an exciting announcement in the works and hinted with several sneak peeks? Well, in typical fashion I like to take on many things all at once like launching my annual holiday custom order and workshop schedule, in addition to moving into my brand new private studio, here in Collingwood! This new venture of mine to head north and open up a new location to service clients in the Collingw...ood and Georgian Bay Area has been in the works for quite some time and after carefully searching for the perfect new location, I’ve settled into my new workshop! It still feels like I’m dreaming and I am so thrilled and humbled to be welcomed into this new community with open arms by so many amazing and talented entrepreneurs in the area; I am so thankful for all of your support as I transition into this new town! I also wanted to share that this new location is not a departure from the Cambridge & surrounding areas that I have typically been servicing for the past decade, but an exciting new expansion! Nothing will be affected for my existing clientele, I am happy to keep designing for all of you lovelies, business as usual! G E O R G I A N B A Y E N G A G E M E N T @amybuckphoto and I had been pen pals for the past several months as we bonded over Instagram through our mutual love of Honey Harbour and all things Georgian Bay! We’d been planning our styled shoot for months, to showcase the beauty of one of our most favourite Ontario cottage towns; since it holds such a special place in each of our hearts, and because we both agree that it’s a magical place to fall in love ... Amy had found a lovely couple to model for us, Shannon & Jasmine! To our surprise, during our planning process, Shannon expressed that she would like to propose to Jasmine during our photoshoot... and then our brains and hearts exploded!! Suddenly, our creative collaboration became so much more than just a passion project for each of us, we were going to witness a real life proposal! This is the second time in my career that I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of a proposal during a photoshoot and I will never not cry one million tears of happiness as I have the great honour of witnessing one of the most special milestones in a couple’s relationship. So much gratitude for the wildly talented @amybuckphoto as she braved the elements to capture THE most stunning images I could have ever imagined, her planning and careful attention to all the details we aimed to achieve together are something I’ll never forget, on this blustery, cold, rainy, then snowy day in the Harbour! And the most special congratulations goes to our models turned real life engaged couple @sxo7_ & @jasminewhelan3 being a part of this magical day with you is something I will never forget! Brittany & Joel shocked the pants off their friends & family this summer by getting surprise married during their intimate engagement party which was held on their original wedding date!
