A creative way to inspire folks to support our local restaurants with their curbside and take out meal options! Support a local restaurant to have your parking ticket cancelled (Barrie, ON) Starting today (April 14), residents who receive a parking ticket from the City of Barrie can have the ticket cancelled if they provide proof of purchase (a receipt) from a Barrie restaurant in an amount equal to or greater than the set fine, within five days after receiving the ticket.... The City is committed to finding creative ways to encourage residents to support local, Barrie-based restaurants through curbside pick-up and takeout options during the Provincial Stay-at-Home order. The program will be in place until May 14, 2021. The program does not apply to tickets related to safety matters. To submit a request for the cancellation of a parking ticket, residents can email a copy of their ticket and restaurant receipt to [email protected].
