These are cooling off as I type this! Definitely bookmark this post! This recipe is light and fluffy, not to mention delicious and subbing in the apple sauce reduces the amount of refined sugar in the recipe! WIN OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS ... INGREDIENTS 1/2 cup butter 1/2 coconut sugar (can use brown sugar) 3/4 cup apple sauce 1 egg 1 cup flour 1 cup oats 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup chocolate chips DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or line muffin tins. Combine butter and sugar in mixer. Beat for 1-2 minutes. Add egg. Combin well. Add apple sauce and mix together. Add in flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, salt and chocolate chips. Bake for 23-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Seriously if you go through the day trying to eat as little as possible and think this is helping you IT ISN’T Did you know that the illusive number of 1200 calories is the lowest number that the department of health can give??... Crazy right! Apps like My Fitness Pal recommends this number because short term, it will make you lose weight and they don’t really care about your health in the end. If you want to keep your results, then this approach WILL NOT WORK. A large (LARGE) majority of the clients I work with, are shocked by how much food their body required. Less isn’t more in this case and will have a rath of negative side effects! Remove the fear around food, carbs and sugar and magically they will stop controlling your!

When I say your health what is the first thing you think of or feel? What are your emotions around prioritizing your health? Overwhelming... Exciting Daunting Confusing Negative Hopeful THE EMOTIONS AROUND WHAT YOU DO ARE MORE DETRIMENTAL THAN WHAT YOU ACTUALLY DO! If you are dreading working out and you drag your ass while complain the whole time, it probably ain’t doing what you think it is. If you are eating a salad, while you feel deprived and frustrated, it probably ain’t doing what you think it is. Changing the way you feel about these things, is actually not as hard as you might think. Changing your focus is going to change your thoughts and changing your thoughts changes your emotions! Health should feel like it expands you and adds to your life! It doesn’t need to be a burden or a struggle. Is this what your last week looked like? If you stuck to your diet all week but then as soon as the weekend hit, here are the top 2 things you can do to help yourself! 1Figure out what triggered the binge or out of control eating.... This is going to give you great in site into what needs to change so that you don’t have this kind of relationship with your diet. We really want to get away from this back and worth and find a steady base line. Constantly going from restriction and being good to complete disregard and falling off, keeps your body in a state of stress. And do you know what is worst than anything you can eat. STRESS 2 Release the feelings of guilt and shame. These feelings will only lead to further self sabotage and aren’t serving you in the ways you think they are. They are not motivators to keep you on track. You need to break these cycles. Change the way you brain has learned to view these foods and events and HEAL your relationship with food. This is possible for EVERY SINGLE PERSON and that means YOU!

Let's talk about structure vs restriction! Alot of people can confuse the two and in an attempt to not restrict they lose structure. Lack of structure and planning in regards to nutrition and movement can often times make things more difficult.... You want health and reaching your goals to feel easy and doable. Finding a structure that works for you and that relieves you of decision fatigue is going to do that very thing! What you have tried in the past, is structure according to somebody else.
