Jayne Progression Photo #28 I have been working on Jayne’s hair and am excited to have just begun work on the jewelry she wore for her Grade 12 Graduation. The necklace is especially significant because it is a very special piece that belongs to Jayne’s Nana (my stepmom, Esther). ... It was given to Esther by my Dad for Valentine’s Day not long before he died in 2014. Because Dad was in the hospital, he and my sister, Sandra, came up with a plan for her to find a gift for him to give to Esther. This beautiful Hillberg & Berk pearl necklace is the piece that she chose on his behalf. Esther had brought it along with her when she came on the bus to stay with us for Jayne’s Grad. She had intended to wear it herself, but offered it to Jayne to wear that day instead. Sandra wasn’t able to be at Jayne’s Grad, so it was in honour of all three of them (Jayne’s Papa, Nana and Auntie) that Jayne proudly wore it.
