Guess who’s back, back again ... to lockdown. #lockdown3.0 as many people have been calling it. That was a super busy and fun 2 weeks. ... I wanted to keep this post positive, but I’m not sure I can. I know many of you saw my stories last week, and tons of other businesses are feeling the same dam way - angry, sad, defeated, exhausted. I worked almost 60 hours behind the chair to get people in because I know how exciting it is to get away from our homes, spouses and the same old routine, and to feel good for one second while getting your hair done. I know everyone is frustrated beyond belief, I’m one of them. Ive followed all the rules extensively, my hands and arms are breaking into a rash from all the extra cleaner. I’ve closed down and stayed home when they said #stayhomesavelives. I haven’t seen my dad in a year and a half. I believe #covid19 is real and serious and people are losing loved ones, I wear my mask and haven’t complained much or said this is unfair. Well, THIS IS UNFAIR. 85% of businesses are open. Somebody asked me recently, What do you like colouring better, blondes or brunettes? Omg what an impossible question! It’s like choosing between apple pie and chocolate cake. I’ll take the pie with cake on top please ! Haha So here’s the answer... ... My favourite thing about blondes is that no two are ever the same. Creating the perfect blonde to me is truly an art form and I create custom formulas and patterns for each individual head. I see every blonde guest as a unique opportunity to create blonde perfection and that is just so fun. My favourite thing about brunettes is the surprise factor. Nobody ever just had ‘brown’ hair. I can do amazing brunette balayages and I love being able to shock and awe with the possibilities. Also, a brunette low light or half-light can do wonders to create dimension or change up blonde hair for the seasons. With all the different shades available it’s another opportunity to really be creative.
