Federal Gov't Announces Lower Stress Test Rate February 19 2020: Canada's federal government announced yesterday they plan on changing the stress-test rate for insured mortgages effective April 6th this year. The new stress-test rate will require high-ratio borrowers *less than 20% down* to qualify at 2% more than the 5 year rate their bank is offering....
