I was talking with someone in the septic system business today and he recommended to do a test to see which toilet paper type will break down the best in your septic system . Simply put a few sheets in a water filled jar and close the lid . Then shake it up and see how quickly the pieces fall apart . If within seconds , then go with that brand . If the sheets maintain their shape easily , avoid . Simple .

As usual , I am posting the Fraser Valley real estate stats for last month , October 2020 . For those who are busy , here is a quick snapshot of the action : - Oct 2020 sales were up 48.9 % compared to Oct 2019 ( 2370 verses 1592 - October sales volume ranked as the highest in the last decade and the 4th highest of all time - For the Fraser Valley region, the average number of days to sell an apartment in October was 36 days, and 27 days for... townhomes. Single family detached homes remained on market for an average of 30 days before selling. MLS HPI Benchmark Price Activity - Single Family Detached: At $1,046,900 the Benchmark price for a single-family detached home in the Fraser Valley increased 1.4 per cent compared to September and, increased 9.9 per cent compared to October 2019. - Townhomes: At $569,200, the Benchmark price for a townhome in the Fraser Valley increased 0.3 per cent compared to September and increased 5.0 per cent compared to October 2019. - Apartments: At $434,600, the Benchmark price for apartments/condos in the Fraser Valley decreased by 0.5 per cent compared to September and increased 4.2 per cent compared to October 2019. So the market has been very strong and has made up for the slow covid affected Spring . Inventory is still low and winding down more so for the winter . Also, multiple offers became common again and the norm for many markets . Looks like Spring 2021 will likely start strong now that so many have learned to adjust to the new norms . Here’s a snapshot of last month’s Fraser Valley housing market. There were 2,039 homes sold. It is a decrease of 2.9% compared to sales in July, but an increase of 57.2% compared to the 1,297 sales during August of last year.
