I wrote a thesis on quantum immortality, inter-dimensional travel between alternate realities and how to save the world. It went over well with the individuals who I shared it with! Here's a link to the article https://www.reddit.com//quantum_immortality_interdimensio/

So I did a deep dive into four rappers discographies and this is what I discovered. J. Cole was the first. I heard his verse on Guru's "Family and Loyalty" and it was love at first sight - But! I was expecting a very spiritual experience with his albums. I listened to every song and they're mainly all about women. Love stories and such. It's good music but I expected so much more. He's a great rapper don't get me wrong, but the subject matter didn't do it for me. The couple s...ongs that I do like seem to be one-offs and weren't even on his albums. Your Eyes Only is an amazing track though, too. Apathy was the second. Underground rapper from Connecticut, part of the Demi-Godz crew. I heard a song or two off his 2018 album The Widow's Son and I was hooked. However it was a similar experience to J. Cole. Widow's Son is a fantastic album, rife with spiritual imagery, the songs are so deep they touch the bottom of the ocean. Apathy is prolific and has a lot of material, nearly everything outside of this album is standard rap fare. Women, money, boasting and bragging - and don't get me wrong there are some great tracks in here like a pirate themed song which was badass - but again, the content for the most part was lacking in what I enjoy. I will still always treasure Apathy's 2018 album though! Nas was the third. Now I have been listening to Nas for forever. I think the first rap song I ever downloaded on Napster was One Mic. And I have always been a fan but I never took the time to thoroughly go over his material. I'm so glad I did, because I definitely added some gems to my playlist. Nas is a rapper's rapper. He's the best to ever do it in my opinion and even though there is a big cultural difference his songs just bang, and he is an amazing story teller. The best thing about Nas (IMO) is his spiritual side, and he drops bits and pieces of it into almost every one of his songs. He is truly enlightened when it comes to his knowledge of self and you can hear it in his lyrics. It's really incredible when you start to piece together this underlying theme by putting together all the hints he leaves in his music - and you will find, hey, he's really got this life stuff figured out! And last but not least Joey Bada$$ was the fourth. He is the newest rapper to the scene out of these four I mentioned. He's gotta be another rapper's rapper. If you like old-school, you will love it, if you like the new stuff, you will love it. He's such a talented lyricist the rhyme schemes are off the wall with this guy. And I loved nearly every song I heard. The only time I didn't was when the beat didn't grab me but even still the lyrics were always, always on point. And so he is my new favorite new rapper! Congrats Joey, you deserve it! Next up will be Rejjie Snow - I've liked everything I heard so far, so I'm excited to go through his music now. Let me know if you liked this post and I will continue to create them!
