Just a quick reminder CRA does not send your tax refund by eTransfer, if you get an email from CRA as an eTransfer please do not accept, it is a scam!!!

More scams! Be aware.

PLEASE BE AWARE!!! I’ve had some clients in the last week get an email implying they are Canada Revenue Agency & that you have Tax refund of $$$ waiting for you from your previous records. They state you’ve received a letter to receive the refund but they are unable to process the refund because the information details they have doesn’t match. Then they tell you to re-verify your information by clicking the button below that says login. Do not click the button, it is a scam!! CRA does not do emails for your private information!! If you’re not sure ask your Accountant or Tax preparer before you answer to any emails.
