Today marks one year since my Mom’s Stroke. What a year it has been. Mom I’m so proud of your courage, strength, determination. It’s been really hard not to be able to see you because of Covid restrictions. I know that you know how much I love you and I’m always there with you. I am eternally grateful for the wonderful care you are receiving and the fact that your home remains Covid free. It’s important for me to remind everyone to pay attention to your body. Pay attention to... all the signs your body gives you especially any sensations in your heart. Know signs of a stroke: -Is the face drooping? -can both arms be raised? -is speech slurred or jumbled? Prevention is key: -eat well -get moving -maintain a healthy weight -stop smoking -manage stress Let’s look after one another and let’s look after ourselves.
