I see that THE COURAGE TO CREATE by Rollo May ia still available on Amazon. It’s such a useful book and so inspirational. I’ve read it several times over the years. I highly recommend it.I see that THE COURAGE TO CREATE by Rollo May ia still available on Amazon. It’s such a useful book and so inspirational. I’ve read it several times over the years. I first read about this idea in the book by Rollo May called The Courage to Create. Copyright 1975. For several years I had a steady routine of study and practice in the mornings. Then I would take the bus down the hill for coffee. After a leisurely break, I walked back home. During that quiet rhythmic exercise, my mind roamed freely and played with creative ideas.

This postcard of Shannon Falls in Squamish is one I created in June. The view of the falls from the top platform is lovely. There are a number of steep stairs, but it’s worth the effort.

I’m not a morning person but it was worth getting up for the early ferry in Nanaimo this morning. I took three shots in different positions. The sky was lovely in each but I think what makes this one work is the angle of the windows and the strong lines that frame the sky.

SOME OF MY FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS: The rocking horse is a wax ornament from Germany. A Friend handstitched the delicate white star. I made the red and white hearts years ago and my mom made the Santa Claus‘s. There are several ornaments with the grandchildren pictured. But the sweetest one is the little mouse. Each of the children brought one home from elementary school. So that must be 38 years ago. The Brazil nut, with little mouse ears and little mouse face is wrapped in a wee red blanket and tucked into a walnut shell.

It's so beautiful to hike in Whistler BC so close to home. The top photo is of Harmony Lake on Whistler Mountain. The second is of fireweed overlooking The Rendezvous on Blackcomb Mountain.
