November was an incredible month for home sales in Winnipeg! Here’s a look at some of the highlights from November: There were 1,193 properties sold, which represents a 32.3 percent increase from November 2019, where it’s projected to remain busy heading into the new year. There were 823 detached homes sold in November for an average of $358,465, which is a 32.5 percent increase from last November.... Condo sales were also on the rise as there were 149 condo units sold for an average of $226,855, which is a 17.3 percent increase from the previous November. In terms of inventory, there were 1,379 new properties listed last month, which represented a 12.2 percent from November of last year, meaning homes are selling and selling fast! With more homes being sold, there is a heightened competition between buyers, which means if you’re a seller, the time to sell is now! The September Market Report is out, and home sales in Winnipeg have reached an - ! This was in the housing market, and that has been the trend since the resurgence of sales in June. Here’s a look at the report highlights. ! There were a total of 1,777 homes sold in September, which represents a 47% increase when compared to September 2019.... Activity has been growing at a rapid pace in year-to-date sales, where there were 12,286 total homes sold between January-September, which is a 12.6% increase compared to the same time period in 2019. A total of 1,245 detached homes were sold in September 2020, and the current benchmark price is at $352,010, which represents a 43% increase when compared to September 2019. The current benchmark price of condos is $239,538, with a total of 202 units sold, which is a 38.4% increase compared to September of last year. , There were a total of 3,942 listings in September, which was a 34% drop when compared to the 6,012 listings in September 2019. The market activity has been moving at such a fast pace that inventory can’t keep up with the spike in demands. The shortage of listings has created more competition, which means buyers are looking to close a deal fast, and sellers have benefited from receiving multiple offer situations.
