This past weekend I shot my last wedding of 2020. And while all weddings this year were more intimate, this one was more so. Just the bride and groom, their baby girl, his parents, her Mum and the officiant. Some fall colours lingered on the cottage driveway, and the a cold breeze blew off the lake to remind us that winter is not far away...

It's spooky season....and this abandoned playground was the perfect set for a Halloween portrait shoot!

This year 'wedding season' looked a little different than in previous years. While most of my 'big' weddings postponed until next year, a few opted to go forward with small outdoor gatherings as allowed under the Covid guidelines. There was something so different about these small gatherings....intimate, close knit, simple...but just as full of love.

These are strange times, and for couples who had planned on a spring or summer wedding, these are very uncertain and disappointing times. One of my July wedding couples opted to postpone their festivities indefinitely. They fully plan on a celebratory wedding day with friends and family, wedding dress and all...but for now they decided to just make it official. Last Saturday they had a sweet ceremony in the yard of their new home and I was delighted to be able to capture some photos to mark the occasion. Congratulations Devin and Bryan, I look forward to The Wedding: Part 2! And yes, it snowed...a surprising amount for the second week of May, but that just made it all the more magical....
