Joe Marth Memorial Golf Tournament

Well my lovelies it looks like it might be time to dust off your balls!! We have a date for this years tournament. We have settled on Saturday July 31st. However due to the uncertainty of what restrictions will look like by that time we have decided, with much thought, to limit it to 24 golfers. So we will make it the first 24 to pay will be the luck ones. The tee off time will be 10:00am at Innsbrook Golf Club. The fee will be $120.00 per golfer and the funds can be email transferred to [email protected] or contact Cam 705-279-2000 or Bob 705-730-0327. More details to follow. Well everybody plans are moving forward with the tournament and we're looking forward to seeing everyone. Although we don't completely know how the day will look we are sure there will be lots of fun and laughs. For those that have golfed with us before you have the first shot at the 50 spots this year. So it comes as no surprise that our yearly tournament to honor our friend and raise money for a scholarship in his name will not be happening this May. We have been working with the Innisbrook Golf Course to come up with a new date, and we have one. Hopefully if everything goes well and everyone stays safe and healthy we will be holding this year's tournament on August 8th. We'll all need a little fun and hopefully we can have that fun on the new date. We will continue to mo...nitor the situation and keep all of our wonderful supports and sponsors up to date. Well my friends and all of our supporters, it is with a heavy heart and after much consideration that we announce that this year's tournament has been cancelled. We have struggled with this decision over the past while and feel that under the circumstances we would not be able to have the celebration for Joe that we all wish to have. A large part of the tournament is to be together share a laugh have a drink as a group, and in these uncertain times we just don't know if that... would be possible. We have considered that approaching our sponsors as they are just getting their business up and running and adjusting to the new normal is not something we are prepared to do. We want to thank all of those that supported us in the past and in the next little bit we will be giving shout out to all of them and encourage everyone to support them with your patronage. We have been working with Innisbrook Golf Course and want to thank them for everything, and they have agreed to move our deposit to next year. The new date will be Saturday May 29, 2021 (the weekend after the long weekend) Next year we will be back with a bigger and better tournament and hope that you will all join us. We have arranged a block of 15 rooms set aside at that The Hampton Inn & Suites Barrie at 74 Bryne Dr. Barrie for anyone interested. The rate is $129.00 per night and can booked for Friday or Saturday or both, maximum 2 people to a room. If we are unable to have the get together at Donaleighs after the tournament, due to distancing rules, we are arranging to rent a room at the Hampton Inn and Donaleighs will be catering.
