Prior to my divorce, my life was moving forward upward - at an incredibly fast pace. Everything was working out just as I planned. Then slam! It was early March this year and I was at the Listings Lab Live Conference Pre-Covid lockdowns.... I was introduced to the concept of self-hypnosis. Me being me. I was so intrigued by this; this is where my alter ego, Joepedia kicked in! I did some research and found out that some famous athletes have used it with great success. Legends like Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzky, and Lebron James have all used hypnotherapy to gain a mental edge over their competition. So, I decided to put this into play during my morning routine. I have always shown up in the world as a strong and positive person. But truth be told there have been days where I would second guess myself, and almost beat myself up mentally Self criticism can be a difficult negative cycle to break. I decided to take an online course through the Mindvalley learning platform called Rapid Transformational Therapy. This is a new therapy combining the most beneficial principles of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), and neuroscience. Perhaps some of you are thinking this is some ‘woo-hoo-crap’? Our mind is the most powerful thing and it is also the greatest kept secret. It feels like it was a really long time that I couldn’t figure out what was really holding me back There were days that I would assume that I just needed to work harder; or that I didn’t have much luck that day or that there were other circumstances at play that I couldn’t quite pinpoint.
