Elder wisdom. A shame we need so many years to attain it.

A rather large group of taxpaying citizens spoke today, telling politicians they had enough. It is time to "Take Back Cambridge!" The question is "will it do an...y good?" Will the left-wing, bleeding-heart politicians listen to the people they are supposed to represent? I only hope this group of people is getting organized enough to put forward their own slate of councilors to run in the next election if necessary. If city council doesn't listen now, we need to make sure they hear us on election day. McGarry has to go! A day touring the Welland Canal can be entertaining and educational. Port Colborne is where the canal meets Lake Erie. https://johnmitchellphoto.com/art-prints-store/

It is the last half of August and the days are beginning to feel like fall. Soon we will see the change of seasonal colours, when the burnt yellow grass of July yields to the brilliant reds and yellows of autumn. "Seasonal colours" can be found in the on line store https://johnmitchellphoto.com/art-prints-store/

Tourist towns in summer are so busy, loud, and crowded. It's not the place for someone looking for solitude and an opportunity to meditate and reflect. During the summer, everything is on the surface, changing rapidly. There is no time to go deeper into the meaning of life. In November, students are preparing for their first semester exams. They don't have as much time to think of the beach, parties, and tomfoolery. The absence of students brings the disappearance of beach v...endors with their loud music and carnival-style barkers. Construction crews have moved in to prepare for off-season upgrades and improvements. Many vendors have hung signs reading, "see you next year." It's "A QUIETER TIME." This and many other of my visual reflections on life are available in my on-line store: https://johnmitchellphoto.com/art-prints-store/
