May, 27th, 2020 Pacific Body Jewellery & Piercing Re-opening plan due to Covid-19 pandemic. We are currently restructuring our operational plan and making studio modifications due to the closure order of March 21st 2020. Our hopes are to re-open sometime in early June, but this depends on the availability of required supplies and materials we need in order to open being available and delivered in a timely fashion. Being a PSE, we have always been over compliant to the standi...ng regulations and requirements for our industry. Sterilization, disinfection and studio hygiene are common place for us, but due to the pandemic not all the supplies we now require are easily available from our usual vendors. In simple English, I will not re-open using substandard products and materials that are not approved for their intended use. Let’s be perfectly clear here, there’s still a pandemic going on, there is still a very high chance for viral spread by community contact. That being said, we are a mom and pop operation with over 28 years of providing services (some of it during the height of the AIDs and HIV crisis) so when we take our time reopening, it’s for a really good reason. We want to be as safe as we possibly can, for ourselves and our clients moving forward. We will be reopening to accept prebooked appointments only, there will be no entry to the studio without an appointment, there will be no coming it to browse for jewellery. Everyone needing our services will require an appointment that must be called in by phone in advance. We will be providing piercing related services only for the short term till we receive an all clear from the federal health authorities. I will be posting our operational procedure here soon for everyone to see how to go about booking their appointments with us and what will be expected when you arrive for your appointment. No one wants to be in isolation again, so with the easing of requirements, caution still needs to be exercised as we move forward. Our tentative reopen date is June 10th at which time our phones will be answered to book clients and answer questions you may have. Thanks for your patients and understanding during this time. Pacific Body Jewellery & Piercing. Covid -19 Protocol Update Nov 12th 2020. No Walk-In services. Age limit 18 years and older with I.D. Studio space limit, 4 persons, Client, Guest and 2 Staff.... All Clients and Guests must complete a health check questionnaire. Client may have one guest (with I.D.) no younger than 17 years. All Clients and Guests must have Photo I.D. (No I.D., No Service) No service provided to anyone under 18 years of age. Masks are required to be worn by everyone in the studio. If you don’t have a mask one will be provided at no charge. No retail jewellery sales, due to Covid-19 restrictions. No Gift Certificate Sales are being done at this time. All appointments must be booked in advance by phone. So after 3 days back at it, things are going fairly well. I would like to remind folks that there is "still" a pandemic going on, with that we are restricted to the number of folks in the studio at any given time. Book your appointment by phone and show up no more than 5 minutes early, we want to keep the chances of clients "crossing paths" down to a minimum for your safety. Sorry, but for the short term, we are not providing piercing services to anyone under 18 years of age. This will change once we receive word that the viral loading risk has been reduced to "normal levels". We want your business, but we will not place anyone in harms way to do so, that includes us.
