Keeping It Simple What is your opinion on making a good photograph? It certainly involves being in the right place at the right time. The STOP THE CAR!! Approach really works well for me. If something catches my eye I make an attempt to get that photograph. For the most part I am a Landscape photographer. I look for a main composition involving something or combination of events that stir me. I do however try to capture the gist of the moment and not clutter it up with information I don’t need. Thus the term keep it simple and don’t complicate the message.

Saskatchewan from one day to the next. Exciting photography. It pays to visit a location several times. These photos present two different moods of Bergheim church.

Are you happy doing black and white photos? I have not seen many good ones posted lately. It is difficult to know when a photograph will look good in black and white. One thing I never do is capture a photo in B and W in my camera. This eliminates the colour element and can’t be put back in. I bring the images into the computer and work on them. Some of the suggestions in this article may help.

I can't express Saskatchewan without the occasional panorama. I have mentioned this before but have seen very few surface on the photo web sites. Your eyes cover a wide area from left to right and not just what appears in the lens. It is a very limited selection that the camera sees.
