I'd like to send a thank you and shout out to our 3 wonderful office volunteers Mohammad, Sara Marshall and Weronika (who are also on my Youth Council) for helping prepare for mailing my latest batch of welcome certificates for the most recent month of New Citizens here in Cloverdale-Langley City. This is the largest influx of new citizens we've seen here in this riding in a single month. Congratulations to all the New Citizens!! I'm glad to have you here in beautiful Cloverdale-Langley City. Please share with your Friends and Social networks! In the Liberal Party's 2019 election platform, we committed to giving cities predictable transit funding needed to plan for the future, in the amount of $3 billion annually. John Aldag, the Organization Chair for the Cloverdale - Langley City Federal Liberal Riding Association, has created a petition calling on the Government of Canada to invest $375 million annually from this new fund for TransLink. The Metro Vancouver May...ors’ Council requested $375 Million in support of the predictable transit funding that will allow TransLink to implement its full 10-year vision. Highlights of Translink’s plan include completing the Sky Train lines to Langley City and UBC, as well as numerous other improvements within Metro Vancouver. To find out more about Translink’s plan use this link or see below. https://tenyearvision.translink.ca/planned-projects A minimum of 500 signatures is needed by midnight January 16th 2020 to trigger a response by the federal government. Ken Hardie, Member of Parliament for Fleetwood - Port Kells, will be tabling the petition in the House of Commons early in the New Year. Every signature counts - PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION TODAY. https://petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/Details

Hello Everyone! I hope that you are all enjoying the start of the Holiday Season here in Cloverdale-Langley City! As most of you are aware, John did not win back his seat during the Federal election. Unfortunately, this means that the former Nonpartisan Constituency Youth Council will not be reconvening. Whether or not there will continue to be a Constituency Youth Council will be considered at the discretion of the new MP and her Team. ... Despite this, I have am happy to tell you that we are currently forming a new Liberal Party of Canada Youth Council! The new Council will be similar to what we have done in the past with the exception of the Council being divided into Junior ( for those in high school) and Senior ( 19+) groups. The next meeting will be held in January 2020 and I hope to see each of you there! For more information on the LPC Youth Council, please email me at [email protected] or send me a text at 604.362.3148. With warmest regards, Charity

Greetings Cloverdale-Langley City CYC Members! I hope that each of you is enjoying the Summer Holidays thus far! Just a couple of quick housekeeping things I wanted to remind / make you aware of. The Constituency Youth Council will not start this fall until after the Federal election in October. The reconvening of the current Youth Council is dependent on the outcome of the election. The operation of the 2019 / 2020 Youth Council will be at the discretion the current sittin...g Member of Parliament. Should John continue on as your Member of Parliament, he has some exciting new ideas for the Council this year! We are so proud of the success of each of the projects the Council has completed over the past few years. It has truly been a pleasure to get to know and work with each of you. If anyone has any questions about this, please feel free to reach out to me. I am available by email or phone. I hope to see all of you in the fall after the election. On behalf of John Aldag and the rest of the Constituency Office Team - Have an amazing and safe summer! All the best, Charity May Program Coordinator Cloverdale-Langley City Youth Council Office of John Aldag, MP
