One of the best things you can do before looking for a house is find out how much you can afford. When you pre-qualify you’re able to be more focused in your search.

Especially when interest rates are as incredibly low as they are!

These are the two most common payment schedules. Some options stand out as being better overall because they save you thousands, or tens of thousands of dollars in the long run. However, everyone has different needs so although I recommend Bi-weekly payments over monthly, monthly payments may work better for some. A credit score is just a number that shows lenders how much of a risk it is to lend money to someone. A good credit score shows lenders that you’re responsible with money and will pay them back. But, what does it take to get a good to great credit score? Refer to the post to find out! When it comes to mortgages, lenders use credit scores and have a minimum score requirement before they’ll consider lending to someone. There are still ways to get lending, but they require a co-signor and/or a higher down payment. Luckily, it isn’t tough to build or repair a credit score.
