So this week I want to stress the importance of Rest. I used to be the up at 5 AM get the day and 12-1 AM bed time. It is important to get a good sleep so you body as time to rest and repair/heal you. Second it's important to have rest periods between workouts. Even if you are staggering your muscle groups (i.e. leg day, upper body, core, arms). Rest in between sets and super sets during your workouts.

If your like me and your machine is lent out, you can sew them by hand and if you take your time and make the stitches small they'll come out just as good. These will still be good to protect your lungs from dust and debris in other scenarios as well.

OK peeps, have neglected you for a little bit, but no more busy interference. So I'm re-dedicating my self to provide you some information on what I have done to get healthy. I will never claim to be an expert or certified (at this point), but will give you information based on my research, and what's worked for me for both Nutrition and Fitness. Disclaimer any equipment you see will be either stuff I've picked up over the years for very little or nothing and I do many exe...rcises without equipment or at work, turning it into exercise, so fitness doesn't have to cost a lot. Please, if you have health issues or concerns, always run any exercise by your doctor to ensure your not putting yourself at risk for injury. "Most doctors will state if it hurts when you do it!, Don't do it" Tip number one, drink lots of water. I drink up to 6 liters a day, the only issue I found was where I didn't normally use salt, I had to integrate it in my diet due to cramps in my calves. I was covered for potassium etc, but after some research, found that your blood should have a level of sodium in it and once I starting using salt the cramps in my legs went away. Tip number two, your scale will like to you. You may reach a point where the numbers won't change and move in the direction you think they should but if you check you may find the numbers for you waist and other problem areas are changing in the direction you'll like. Muscle does weigh more than fat.

Well it's here, that one day of the year when most evaluate where they are, where they are going and what they should or should not be doing. What could they be doing better. The Trick is never be hard or harsh on yourself. For me I've hit all my goals and will be setting new ones, although they won't be as tough as their predecessors. lol

Reminder: there is no harm in turning some of your work into fitness activites. Use your chair at work to do crunches, the back support in most ensures no injuries. You can do sets of leg raises in them as well. Stand up behind your chair and do squats using your chair for balance if require, can help improve form as well. You can get push up handes, cheap so you can use them in your office. This exercise is consistent with recommendation that you should stand up every 10-15 minutes every hour. Helps to avoid boredom, etc.
