I feel very lucky and thankful to have received my first dose of the #Moderna #COVID19 #vaccine yesterday. Matna! If you haven't got your shot yet, please take the opportunity. It isn't just about one person getting a needle.... This is about a community deciding to protect each other, and in this case especially those with more white hair (our elders :D) and health conditions. <3 If you have people you love at risk from the virus, please take the shot for them. Its okay to be nervous, its okay to be unhappy about the needle part. But please don't miss the opportunity to get vaccinated! Finally, please remember that while the vaccine will help to protect #Arviat, #whalecove, and #Nunavut as clinics are held - we need to keep following all the current Public Health Orders in our territory.

Quvianakuni! Happy to see the arrival of the #moderna #covid19 #vaccine into Arviat today. These shots will help make our community stronger, will help protect... our families and friends, and will help us get back to having things like community gatherings, music festivals and square dances. I'll be getting my shot on Friday and look forward to that day. I've read up on the science and I'm comfortable with the vaccine, how it was developed and what the ingredients are.
