It is a strange time for mortgage rates right now. Canada Life rates are the lowest they have ever been. And even though the Bank of Canada has been lowering their rate, banks are considering increasing rates again. Now might be the ideal time to look at refinancing and consolidating debts. I can help you to figure out if this would make sense for you.

I’m excited to share details on a bank account I believe would be a great complement to your current financial plan. High interest rate on an everyday banking and savings account Apply for a personal, non-registered, Canadian-dollar Advantage Account online now and you’ll earn an interest rate of 3.25% for six months, then 1.50%1 thereafter on your new account. That’s higher than rates offered by most financial institutions to help build your savings.... You’ll also receive: An Interac Flash access card to make direct purchases and bank at more than 3,500 automated banking machines (ABM) across Canada that make up THE EXCHANGE Network the second largest ABM network in the country. The ability to transfer funds, pay bills and send Interac e-Transfers conveniently using online or mobile banking, and Free, unlimited everyday banking when you have a balance of $1,000 or more in your account.2 Easy online application Applying for an account online is easy and convenient; the process will likely take five minutes or less to complete. I just set up my own account and it literally only took me 4 minutes. I’m happy to discuss the Advantage Account with you and help you set up a new account. Or, if you’re ready, you can set it up in minutes: https://client.manulifebank.com/edo/ Just use the link above to get started. Why not use this as your everyday banking and get rid of high bank charges, and earn a great rate of interest on your account as well? Thank you and if you have any questions, please feel free to call, text or email me. Have a fantastic day.

It is time to think about RRSP's. Even if you don't have the extra cash lying around, an RRSP loan could save you a lot of money. Now that 2018 is over, I can look at your income and do the calcualtions for you. If you plan on becoming a first time home buyer in the near future, this could be the time to think about loading up your RRSP. There are many other situations where an RRSP could benefit you. Give me a call, text me, message me, or email me. I can help you to figure out if it works for you. Please feel free to share my post with your friends. Thank you!

For a short time, London Life has a special rate for mortgages. 3.19% for a five year closed mortgage, and 2.8% for a five year variable rate mortgage. It is anticipated that rates will rise a couple of more times this year. (not guaranteed). Standard bank rates are now at 5.14% for a five year closed. There are some qualifying criteria, but maybe now would be the time to see if it makes sense to refinance. If your mortgage is coming due within the next couple of years, it could make sense. Also, if you have other debt such as credit cards, lines of credit and high interest loans, it could save you thousands of dollars by consolidating now, as long as you have good credit. Everyone's situation is different, but I can help you to find out if this is the right solution for you.

We are down to our last 3 days to purchase an RRSP and have it applied to your 2017 tax return. Does it make sense for you? I can help you to figure it out.

RRSP season is upon us. So what is RRSP season anyway? It just means that you have until March 1st to purchase an RRSP and deduct it on your 2017 income tax return. The result will either increase your refund or reduce your balance owing. Does it make sense for everyone? No, not always. Do you know whether or not it makes sense for you? If not, I can help you to figure it out. even if you don't have the money for an RRSP, if it makes sense, an RRSP loan might be the answer. Again, I can help you figure it out.
