It’s very discouraging and frustrating to keep replacing signs from the same areas. Signs are going missing and now being damaged. It appears our signs are the only ones being taken from the groups of candidates signs. Any ideas why Darryl’s signs are being targeted while others are left alone ?? We have had signs disappearing for 3 weeks straight now. Twice we had signs removed from the John Stewart Drive stop sign and another removed from Auburn Drive and John Stewart sto...p sign. Also we have a sign go missing at a Merrimac residence and replaced with another candidate and the same thing took place at another residence. When I talked to the home owner they were wondering how the other candidates sign end on her lawn. Just last night driving home from a church meeting Darryl noticed another sign missing from CHP. As he went o go replace it he saw his sign damaged and and the face painted white. Any ideas why a black mans signs are being damaged and his face painted white ?

I am excited to be a person in support of Darryl Johnson’s bid to represent District 4. As the youngest son of the late Councillor Graham L. Downey, the first Black Deputy Mayor and one of the longest serving councillor’s/aldermen in the history of Halifax, I know that he would be very proud of Darryl for stepping forward in our municipality and vying to represent his community at council.
