Monday night I was proud to support a motion offering support to our oil and gas sector that is so important to Swift Current and surrounding areas.

During the city election campaign, I made you a promise to strive for fiscal responsibility for the city and a review of expenditures. I think it is important to lead by example and was proud to support this move to reduce our own salaries on City Council.

Today we remember and say thank you to all those who paid an unimaginable cost for our freedoms. Lest we forget.

It was an honor to be sworn in last night. I am looking forward to working with the mayor and other councilors. It will be an interesting four years.

John is a passionate advocate for seniors in our community and genuinely wants all seniors to have safe and affordable housing and a sense of belonging. John cares about their well-being and that is evident in how he approaches all decisions that the board has to make in the operations of providing affordabl...e housing opportunities to independent seniors. He asks the tough questions and does not shy away from taking a stance on issues he feels strongly about, at the same time supports and respects the views of others.
