So we'll be open for business as usual but will close early Xmas Eve (3:00) and New Years Eve (2:00) and we'll be closed Xmas day and New Years day. This little guy has been working all day every day for weeks digging out a nest in a stump in front of our house. Talk about work ethic! Every 30 seconds or so he's back in there digging.

I'm not the best "birder" but Marilla and I are pretty sure this is an Evening Grosbeak. I've never seen one before but this one seems to have some sort of disease on it's feet/legs. I thought it had clown shoes on at first glance. Anyone know what kind of disease/growth this is?
