Who are you. If your mom asked you this question, would your answer be different than if I were to ask you? How about a child? Or a mentor? This is a dense question that people toss around in introduction circles and expect you to answer it in 2 sentences, the true answer would take a lifetime.... You are the physical you, the cavity in your molar and the birthmark on your face both are a part of you. With the physical we are limited to change, we can only gain or lose so much weight. Your physical identity is who you are in the present moment, not who you were or are intending to be. Cognitive identity, this has a lot to do with our experiential and mental capacity. The memories you made guide your choices and ultimately are a part of you. Unlike the physical version of yourself, your opinions, experiences and over all knowledge are very fluid. Any change that you intend to make starts with the cognitive part of your identity, and the fluidity of it makes it easy for us to adapt. Emotional identity is where many people struggle. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that many people depend on emotions to drive the their search for identity. Through the pursuit of feeling good, many people stray away from necessary plights. I don’t know the statistics, but we can all agree that depression is at an all time high. To identify yourself based solely on your emotions can cause catastrophic loops that prevent your growth. Although your emotions are valid, your identity is not a chemical reaction in your brain. Your spiritual identity. This is an area many people don’t give enough attention to. For a theologian the question of ultimate concern is does god exist. If there is a god, it would be in your best interest to be connected to him. For millennia, spirituality was at the core of our identities and only recently have we deviated from that. Your identity is at the core of your existence, whether or not you gave it some thought. Your identity is like a river that feeds the different estuaries of your being. Make sure to take a hold of your narrative, you are the master of your identity.

How to get things done. Anything man-made, be it a story, a structure, an institution, or anything else requires human effort. One man can sit tirelessly and create a symphony, but it takes an orchestra of people to shake an amphitheatre. In the western colonial society we are told to be self reliant, completely independent and borderline selfish. For millennia, we as the human race only thrived due to our ability to socialize. The pyramids took hundreds of thousands of peop...le. That school isn’t run by the principle, it is the teachers and staff that make it a school. Jeff Besoz isn’t driving the truck, he requires people. A home in the lower mainland costs a million, and is a hard feat for any individual to purchase something like that. But when you get together with your family and work to support each other, you will find ease in your endeavours. Work on yourself, but also work on others around you. Life is hard enough as it is, there is no need to try to tackle everything alone. For my age, I believe that I have managed to do a lot, but none of it would be possible without the people in my life. To the ones I tagged I hold you all very dear to me as you have helped me a lot in life. A good circle goes a long way, and this is me extending my circle to you. Please reach out to me if you are struggling to navigate. I truly believe that if I help you, it would benefit me. P.S. if you’re trying get smoked in a race, I may be able to arrange something.

Bismillah How to understand one's capacity. First we need to understand that anything that has been done by a human can be done again. When it comes to physical talents such as sports and musical instruments, a sense of realism needs to addressed as not everyone can make it to the professional level. But everyone can be good at any given sport or instrument.... Nobody is the best at anything, records are being beat everyday. We also need to understand that our capacity for any given aspect is not fixed, that you can grow if you train and can even diminish your skill over time if not addressed. If Usain Bolt stopped training today and ate fries for a year, we are all sure that he will no longer be the fastest man. When it comes to our cognitive capacity it is also important to be realistic. When I say realistic I don't mean it in the sense of your ability to accomplish your dreams, but rather to your approach of the dream. I am conceptually gifted in the sense that I can come up with cool ideas, but I am aware that my cognitive stamina and comprehension skills are subpar. Even if I was the smartest person alive, I would not be able to accomplish my personal dream alone. Your capacity extends outside of your body. It extends to your support group, family, school, resources and everything that contributes to your livelihood. If your capacity for business is smaller than you wished, find a friend to support you. Nothing in this world comes easy, and a good support group definitely requires effort. To have good friends, you need to be a good friend. Your capacity is as limitless as the confines of physics. Just because you alone cannot get something done, does not mean it is impossible. With consistent effort comes undeniable results. Don’t think about what your limit is, but rather think about how can you reach your limit and raise the bar for the next day.
