Two years ago Kai came into our home and our hearts! He was also to be my Companion Support Dog in my Grief Therapy Practice. The pandemic hit and I started working on line. He still comes to work with me but is disappointed every day when people don't come through the door to greet him! He misses you all! Who knew he would become my personal Support Dog!! So today we celebrated Kai's birthday and all the love he gives. Swipe to see how hard Kai partied. @kai.cares2 #goldenrescuecanada #goldenretrieversofinstagram #adoptdontshop

I have just learned about this great local product that supports intuition and emotional wellness. Use your intuition to find which message you need, and carry the rose quartz heart with you throughout the day. Send this gift to someone you love. Buy this gift for yourself. We could all use some Worry Less. Mental health belongs to us all!! #worrylessstones #mentalhealthawareness

November 11. Today is the day we experience shared global grief, remembrance, and honouring. This is the day I wear my Dad’s jacket with his hand stitching. Today I will sip a brew from the sentimental S/Sgt R McLean pewter mug. I will pause at 11:00 to listen to The Last Post with damp eyes. Honour and thank all who left and didn’t return, all who left and returned changed, all who kept the home fires burning. I will also include a moment of wishing for world peace. . Rituals are what makes Grief accessible and manageable for me. Who are you honouring today? Share their name below and I will hold them in my thoughts. #remembranceday #lincoln&wellandregiment #worldpeace

As the results of the Presidential Election are unfolding in the USA, there is so much anxiety and anticipation in the air. I pulled a card to help quell the tension in my head, heart, and body. So this is my answer .... Meditate for Peace....Take some deep breaths and ask what your answer is to hold you in a place of grounding today. Comment below if you can share to inspire others! #oneearth #peace #grounding

If Pregnancy or Infant Loss has touched your life please consider joining the virtual Wave of Light event on October 15. At 7 pm around the world’s time zones, candles are lit to honour and remember little ones who passed away in pregnancy and infancy. Local Newmarket landmarks will be lit in purple lights. To receive the link to the virtual event or to ask for your Baby’s name to be read aloud please reply to [email protected] Every family that I support through this tragic loss wants their baby to be remembered. Please light a candle at 7pm to illuminate these memories and names. I am honoured to again participate in this loving event. #waveoflight #waveoflight2020 #goodmourning #grief #pregnancyandinfantlossawarenessmonth

Good Mourning 26.10.2020

Today is the day after Thanksgiving in Canada. It may be the first holiday after the death of a loved family member or friend. Many will have spent the weekend telling themselves to just hold it together... to get to the other side... If today is your other side, expect to be exhausted, unfocused, drained, and sad. That is a Grief Hangover. Approach it with space, kindness, self compassion. Know that it is an element of normal Grief because Grief is a sneaky bastard. #griefhangover #goodmourning #holidaygrief #selfcompassion #grieftherapy
