https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/morneau-unveils-new-insured-mor Interesting changes announced for the insured mortgage stress test which will come into play April 6th. As of today, the new rules would mean borrowers could qualify for a larger mortgage amount compared to the old stress test rules. Conventional/uninsurable mortgage stress test remains the same for now, but they will makes a decision on changes to that stress test after taking feedback until March 17th.
