Introducing your January 2021 market update! In comparison to January 2020, single-family homes saw about an even amount of sales despite the lack of inventory. This explains the increase in the median sale price of the houses sold in January 2021 as the lack of houses has led to competition for buyers. Have any questions? Feel free to reach out!

Here is your February 2021 market update! In comparison to February 2020, single-family homes saw fewer homes sold due to lack of inventory. However, the median sale price of the properties sold increased significantly as a result of the lack of houses creating tough competition for buyers. Luckily, March has already shown signs of more inventory of properties on the market, making it easier for buyers to find themselves a home. Have any questions about the market? This week's #wisdomwednesday is all about staying humble. Everybody that strives for success knows to recognize success but not be satisfied with it once their goal has been accomplished. The most successful people create new goals for themselves once their goals have been achieved in order keep success coming. It is okay to celebrate once in a while, but not be so satisfied to the point where one decides that they do not need to continue to pursue success anymore. How do you stay humble? I'd love to read about it in the comments!

Question of the day: Has the COVID-19 pandemic changed your real estate situation? If so, how? Personally, the pandemic hasn't changed our situation. However, my wife and I have been discussing the possibility of purchasing a cottage in the Laurentians to give us the flexibility to get away from time to time, especially with the travel restrictions that are in effect.

To conclude what has been a crazy, unforeseen year. My wife and I wanted to wish you all a happy holiday season and a happy new year!

This housing market has been crazy! Single-family homeowners have been reluctant to sell their properties while folks living in co-ownerships or living in apartment-like buildings are looking for more space. Thus creating one of the most competitive environments we've ever seen! First-time homebuyers have struggled more than most as their modest budgets (along with the low amount of houses on the market) make it difficult to land a house without a sprinkle of luck. On this week's #wisdomwednesday, we're discussing the important lesson to balance passion with wisdom. It's crucial when starting something new (whether that is to run your own business or starting a new activity/hobby) that you have the passion to take this new venture on. Without it, you're simply not going to enjoy it. Although passion is important, it's equally as important to utilize wisdom from past experience and future experience to manage that passion in a productive way. When passionate about something, it is easy for one to get carried away to a point where you need to focus on what's needs more attention at a given point. This way, your passion will blossom from a dream into a reality.
