Another very happy customer. We had a special request to build a candy machine with a Saints Football theme. He was really excited when he saw it and it will now have a special place in his office.

Well, Another happy customer. A girl that works with my wife saw our candy machines and asked if we could do one with football colors. Her and her husband are big football fans. One thing lead to another and we kind of went a little overboard. She really liked it.

Another Candy machine delivered today for my buddies birthday. His wife ordered it a while ago so we had it hidden in the corner until today. It came out really nice and it was the first one we posted for sale.

Well we got another one done, all wired, ready to be cleaned and waxed. I think the customer will like it. Was not a lot of work but I think it looks cool. On to the next. working on a gas door for a friend and 7 more Candy machines.

Something for the Ford guys, We have something really cool coming later in the year as soon as we get caught up on the big projects. This little one will have do for a while. A customer said he really liked our art work , said he picked up a few pieces at a yard sale and wanted to know what we could do with it. This is a wall hanger, the backer should be painted black tomorrow, the stripe is gold and the taillights and grill will be back lighted. I think it will look cool and one of a kind.

Great day for Jones Boys. Since we started building gas pumps we have had to buy an expensive metal globe, split it in 1/2, glue a back in it to hold the lighting and it is extremely labour intensive. With help from our friend Claude Leblanc from Berry Mills we designed and built our own mould that can be converted from a Gas pump globe to a wall sconce using the same plastic that we build our pumps with. Stay tuned for the finished product. this will be one more item we can personalize and sell to our car friends. we are very excited to see them on display.

Wow, What a week, with my brother-in-laws help we worked the glass bead cabinet hard and got a lot of work done. We bet on buying a bunch of candy machines hoping there would be some interest in them. Well, we are now pretty much sold out. some as counter top units, some with a stand. We also put out 5 - 1/2 pumps this week with all the extra options like globes, accent chrome and vinyl trim. Special thanks to all for your remarks and your orders.

Due to the Orange Covid my brother Ed has been busy in his own garage while I work here. He is getting pretty good with a welder and his imagination is off the chart, I sure wish we had Christmas at the Coliseum this year, Joe Savoie, You told me we would come up with something to sell, LOL. After looking at this we will be there next year.

Got a lot of work done this week but most of it you can't see, its called block sanding. Hope to have something great to show off soon. We did get a vending machine finished for a friend. We bought 5 of them, they are all being cleaned and polished and we found nice looking weighted bases to mount them on. We have 4 more for sale, $150.00 or best offer, will paint the base to your choice of color.

Special thanks to Gary Coates and Richard Corey, Gary gave us a couple of used Moroso front drag tires, one of which will work perfect for our Sox and Martin fender, just need to find a skinny keystone 5-spoke wheel. Richard brought us 4 vintage 18 inch tires, we already have a few of the original spoke wheels to mount them on. The garage is really starting to fill up, WE REALLY NEED A CAR SHOW!!!

I see a lot of block sanding in my future. Have everything in different stages of high build, 67 Plymouth fender ready for final sanding, 55 Chev TV stand will need a little attention and another coat of primer before blocking, 55 Chev fender wall hanger will just need some sanding, then painted and decaled to look like a Nickey Chevrolet gasser that was a favorite of mine. I am going to put the Nickey Logo and the cross flags on it. I really need a bigger booth. That will be tomorrows job.

A customer asked me how much it cost to make a table.... I answered him: $ 1500 He said: So expensive for this job? I asked: How much do you think it would cost you? He answers me: $ 800 maximum... That's a pretty simple job right? !"... - For $ 800 I invite you to do it yourself. - But.... I don't know how to. - For $800 I'll teach you how to. So besides saving you $700, you'll get the knowledge for the next time you want - It seemed right to him and he agreed. - But to get started: you need tools: A table saw, a planer, a top, dormants, etc... - But I don't have all these equipment and I can't buy all of these for one job. - Well then for another $250 more I'll rent my stuff to you so you can do it. - Okay, he says. - Okay! Tuesday I'm waiting for you to start doing this work - But I can't on Tuesday I only have time today. - I'm sorry, but I'm only available Tuesday to teach you and lend you my stuff. Other days are busy with other customers. - Okay! That means I'm going to have to sacrifice my Tuesday, give up my tasks. - I forgot. To do your job yourself, you also have to pay for the nonproductive factors. - That is? What is this?" - Bureaucratic, tax, vat, security, insurance, fuel etc. - Oh no!... But to accomplish these tasks, I'm going to spend more money and waste a lot of time! - Do you have them? You can do it to me before?" - Okay! - I'll make you all the material you need. Truck loading is done Monday evening or Tuesday morning you'll have to come by 6 loading the truck. Don't forget to be on time to avoid traffic jams and be on time - At 6??? Nope! Too early for me! I used to getting up later. ... - You know, I've been thinking. Y ' all better get the job done. I'd rather pay you the $1500. If I had to, it wouldn't be perfect and it would cost me a lot more. When you pay for a job, especially handcrafted, you pay not only for the material used, but also: - Knowledge - Experience - Study - Tools - Services - Time to go - punctuality - Accountability - Professionalism - Accuracy - Guaranteed - Patents - Sacrifices - Safety and security - Payment of tax obligations No one can denigrate other people's work by judging prices. Only by knowing all the elements necessary for the production of a certain work can you estimate the actual cost. I did not write this dialogue, but am sharing it to support craftsmen and entrepreneurs.

Does not look that bad, still need to wire it and wax out some dust bunnies but it came out OK.
