We're very excited to announce that we have decided to rebrand to something fresher and brighter! We very much liked our old name, RotaNovus, but we are updating our brand image to better reflect our values. Joovo is our new brand. We'll be rolling out our new aesthetic over the next few weeks, and giving a bit of the story behind the rebrand so bear with us - we're excited to share our new image!

We're very happy to announce that we've partnered with MaRS Discovery District to further develop our products! There's more to come - keep an eye out!

We just competed in Spectrum: McMaster Entrepreneurs' Student Startup Competition! Hearing other startups' pitches and ideas was a valuable experience. We placed second in the competition, winning $15000! We would like to thank all that were involved in the competition and look forward to what might come next.

Hey friends! Today, we participated in the 1st annual McMaster Spectrum Stand Up Pitch Competition, and came first! We are extremely excited and honored to receive the award. We are excited for what the future holds, and stay tuned for updates on what we are up to!

Last Wednesday, RotaNovus participated in the 2014 McMaster Innovation Showcase and won the Commercialization Ready award. It was a great experience, and we are honored and grateful for the recognition. We look forward to furthering our product research and development!

Hello! So as is per our normal post rate, here we are a month later. September was a particularly busy time for RotaNovus, and we have made some great progress. We have been brought into a accelerator which for those of you who don't know is a set up that helps with resource acquisition and also providing guidance and skills so we stay on track and avoid mistakes. Plus we have a great work space now! Also we have been having great dialogue about Rollators and mobility with Mo...tion Specialties - Hamilton who have been providing a great deal of support to us for the past year. Now as usual, RotaNovus likes to create a little intrigue about perceptions about mobility and the people who need it. Hooray! After a few months of being absent from the world of social media, we have made some serious strides and have further developed RotaNovus. We have continued our focus on creating the best possible rollator, but have refined the idea significantly. In the end, the goal is to promote independence and safety. I know we talk a lot about people falling, but it is important to ...understand this is a global issue. An interesting look at population change in Canada is that the median age is changing. In 1971, the median age was about 26. As of 2011 the median age is almost 40. Now you may ask, why the change? As expected, with the improvement in healthcare, the human average age of death also has improved. Also, with the baby boomer population being heavily represented in these statistics, it is clear that they are the determining factor of which age group is the countries median. So we know that nothing can be more annoying then being updated on a daily bases on Facebook, so we will posting 1 to 2 updates a week at the most. First off, we would like to thank everyone who has liked the page and helped us reach 116 likes on Facebook. If you think you have friends or family who might benefit from the specialized solutions we are creating with our Rollator please share this group with them. The month of May will be a key milestone with a final design bein...g picked. Once we have a prototype, we will post it up here for you to see it first. So a important part of our product is making a cost effective model while not misusing the infrastructure in place to help such as the Assistive Device Program. As we continue to work on our designs, we have been looking into some very interesting statistics involved with our major target market of the age group of 65+. This particular study is about falls and how it affects individuals and the health care industry in Canada. "In 2010, the direct medical costs of falls, adjusted for inflation, was $30 billion."
