It's here - Cole and Katie's preview slideshow is ready to go! I'm not going to lie, this day was pretty darn amazing. Cole and Katie have been together for a long time. Like, almost got married on their ten year dating anniversary type of long time. And to be clear, I'm not knocking that - there is a special kind of comfort and safety that they clearly share with each other......you can see it in how they move with and talk to each other. BUT. What I also loved is th...at you can still see little hints of that first date excitement now and again - in the smile on Cole's face whenever he sees Katie, and especially the way he lit up when he saw Katie for the first time in her wedding dress, and just had to twirl her. In the way Katie lovingly rewrote some of the lyrics to the Pokemon theme song and sang it to Cole during her speech. (Ok, that last part is a bit of a joke, but heck yes it actually happened and if singing the theme song to the cartoon your new husband was obsessed with as a kid into a microphone in front of about 100 people isn't love than I don't even know what is.) Here's hoping that you always feel that first date excitement while you continue to build a fabulous life together.
