A video I made with Jessica Rhaye and the Ramshackle Parade featured on Grid City Magazine. Check out their stunning cover of Dylan's "I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine". http://www.gridcitymagazine.com/jessica-rhaye-and-the-rams/

A new music video I filmed for my favorite jazz-professors-turned-folk-music-superstars: Tomato/tomato! We shot the entire thing during their soundcheck & concert at the Imperial Theatre this past December. Watch the video and then go get their new album here: https://bit.ly/2HYwRom

Filmmaking + coffee. These are a few of my favorite things. If you haven't yet heard of Apartment 3 Espresso Bar, check out the video I made for them below. Then drive to Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia and enjoy the best coffee shop on the East coast :)

Here is a quick promo video that I made of a recent Imagine NB event hosted by the New Brunswick Multicultural Council / Conseil multiculturel du N.-B. It was great to see so many young entrepenuers seeking to learn from some of the province's most succesful business leaders. #imaginenb #newbruswick #newconversationsnb

I had a great time shooting and editing this piece for the YMCA of Greater Saint John. In addition to telling three incredible stories about newcomers to our city, I also: ate a lot of fresh bread, tried some new foods, and learned a new card game to play with my wife! (Thanks Praveen Choudhary).

A few summers ago I dropped Adyn Townes a random email about an idea I had. We were both going to be at Stanfest in a few weeks, so why not shoot a music video... in the woods? This is what we ended up with. A captivating performance of "Paris Sky" amidst the lush spruce trees on a drizzly afternoon in Canso. It gives me the chills every time I watch it.

My recent video for the Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Assoc tells the story of how fish farming in Atlantic Canada grew from a few hobby farms in the 80's to the major industry that it is today. Big thanks to Deborah Irvine Anderson of Canteen Media and Kathy Kaufield for making everything come together so beautifully. You have many skills that I do not possess!

We are wrapping up (and looking forward to sharing) a wonderful new video about the 30-year history of the Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Assoc. Huge thanks to Kathy Kaufield and Deborah Irvine Anderson of Canteen Media for guiding and molding the whole thing into moving tribute to our fish farming community. Until the video is ready to be posted, here are a few behind the scenes shots: #behindthescenes #bts #filmmaking #newbrunswick #saintjohnvideoproduction #salmon

During the filming of this promotional video, it didn’t take me long to see that Touchstone Academy is not your typical elementary school. The teachers have an enthusiasm that is electric and the kids are motivated to learn. When a student develops an interest in a particular topic, that interest is fostered and the student is encouraged to run with it. The joy of learning is palpable. However, some of the most interesting insights came from hearing Touchstone parents talk about the impact the school has had on their children. One father summed it up well when he said, Touchstone teaches kids to learn how to learn. And that’s crucial because that’s lifelong. Check out the video below or visit: www.touchstoneacademy.ca for more info.

Wayne Murphy, of Lancaster Baptist Church, has played a key role in welcoming many Syrian refugees to Saint John. In this short piece that I shot for Acadia Divinity College, Wayne shares how it all came about, and gives some helpful advice to people who may be hesitant about welcoming newcomers.

One of my favorite filmmaking techniques is to use your environment to communicate. Rather than having the subject spell everything out, why not let the environment do part of the talking? This was my goal in the interview setup seen in this photo. The topic of the video is Touchstone Academy - a small independent school here in Rothesay, NB that facilitates a fun, creative, and enthusiastic environment where kids develop a love for learning. To help communicate that sentiment, the setting for this interview included: 1) a bright, spacious classroom 2) a lighting style motivated by the soft natural light coming in the window, and 3) colorful artwork of students making up the background. #filmmaking #storytelling #canon #canonc100markii #videoproduction #setlife #filmschool

My newest film tells the story of three different Saint John families whose lives were positively impacted by P.R.O. Kids. Watch it, share it, and spread the word!
