My @jordanlmillerartist piece Two Separate Paths is available online through @cre8ery, painted in January (?) as a time lapse and finished in November. At that time I didn’t realize what I was painting but this really was how I was feeling. Have you ever felt like you were heading in the wrong direction, feeling frozen in your tracks? It’s how I was feeling. Eventually there is a fork in that road and everything starts to make sense again, you find the right path/journey and... find yourself again. Blue is happy colour to me and one of my favourite colours. Let’s call 2020 my blue period kind of like when Spanish painter Pablo Picasso between 1901 and 1904 when he painted essentially monochromatic paintings. Previously I painted in a lot of hot/cool colours. I have to say I’ve really Changed my style. Why am I sharing this now? So much has changed for me in the last 6 months and I am finally happy with where things are (yes, in the middle of a pandemic!) Ive created more art in 2020 that hasn’t made its way to my page! This piece is really moody but also a huge release. You can check out my last live painting sessions (previous posts) to see how this painting changed from what it was to what it is now. I love mountains. I love the prairies. I also love this time in my life where I am allowed to be creative, to be me, to share my work with others. Sometimes you just have to start over in life and find yourself just as you are. I find myself dancing, singing, and celebrating joyful moments. There is more laughter? I feel better, stronger. We may be alone and isolating a lot in 2020 but we have this great supportive online network here on social media snd through my own gallery friends and supporters. Life really does have its own way.
