Part of my conservation efforts this year will be looking for monarch caterpillars and placing signs that clearly state that they are present as well as possibly making chicken wire "cages" to protect them and the milkweed plant

I knew i took alot of pics and videos this season... But i had no idea it was this much! Still trudging through it all. Now that this turtle season is over, and winter fast approaching, ill have time to compile and put all the media I've taken together, other then that you will see very little activity from this page until the spring. Gregory Peccary Gregory is a Peccary pig ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peccary. ) sandy pines wildlife center... He is such a sweetheart. He is also the father of the other adorable piggies seen in the video. He mated with their giant sow.... I always bring the piggies a snack when i go...

Got a call yesterday from sandy pines to go and pick up an injured rabbit since i was on my way out to pick up the pigeon... Got there, and the rabbit was in horrible condition... The word i would use is... Mangled. It was absolutely mangled. I knew he wasn't going to make it.... When i arrived at sandy pines, i informed them that the rabbit didn't survive the ride. They informed me that the woman who called had watched in horror as someone swerved and went out of their way to purposely run it over. Absolutely abhorrent. Absolutely disgusting. There is absolutely no need, no excuse, no reason to cause any living thing that kind of pain and suffering. What the fuck is wrong with people?! This does not discourage me. It only strengthens my resolve. Life must be protected, helped, saved, from my fellow species.

Got a call from sandy pines.... A pigeon (Dove) i brought in a few weeks ago was ready to be released back in the area it was found... It was the most... Unsatisfying release ever lol... Usually you open the box and the bird flies away...... This one... Well, here's the video

Sorry for the lack of posts.. I've been super busy, and avoiding Facebook due to all the negativity and hate. I've been working on getting my videos together that i have taken over the past few months... Here's a bit of one i took the other day on Friday the 18th.... These are what i call the "miracle" hatchlings. Their mother was struck and killed at the beginning of nesting season. My mom spotted her on the side of the road and called me. I went to her location and did a quick "exam" of her corpse... She still had her clutch (eggs) inside inside her... So i took her, put her body in one of my bins and stored her in my cool basement overnight (sandy pines was closed as it was late in the evening by the time i got her home) In the morning i took her to sandy pines where they harvested her eggs and began the incubation process... *Turtle eggs can survive in a deceased body for up to 48 hours. Survival is greater if the corpse is not in direct sunlight for any extended length of time, and is stored once discovered in a cool environment* Fast forward a few months, and these adorable little snapper hatchlings are ready to be released... By all means they should not have survived. It was pure chance my mom spotted her corpse... Yet from her death, life goes on, and her legacy continues.

Just want to throw a huge thanks to Aaron Visser, someone who i have never met, for lending me a canoe for a week. Words cannot express my gratitude. Now it's time to find the needle in the haystack

Jordan Saves The Planet 09.02.2021

Weird request... Does anyone have a kayak or canoe i could borrow for a week? It's for trying to spot a threatened/endangered species in a certain wetland to prevent them from destroying the habitat with a new housing division they are building right ontop of it. This development is for people with $$$$ only. No subsidized or geared to income units, no affordable units... So it's not a loss to the community...... If i can find the species in question... And document it via photo and gps coordinates not only can i get the area safe and locked down, the government will be required to put in special amenities to ensure the safety and survival of the species in question... Someone has to have one they won't be using in the next week or so....
