Here is a full shot of my current project! The whole ide rests on a rift in time that is currently covered by tape. This is going to suggest that we are standing in a moment and we have to decide as a society which point in time we are closer to. I'm hoping that the contrast in the images shows how stark things could look. And how things should look. Notice how you can't see as far back in the left hand side because of the dense forest. But in the right hand side you see nothing but dead trees and piles of trash that weren't there at the start.. This is an idea that I've been working on and if it gets my point across I will be doing more images like it but in different circumstances..

Spent about 45 minutes to a hour just making water mark's to simulate a rushing river cutting through my beautiful nature scene. This semester im focusing on a interesting idea. I'm trying to create a point of time between what you are seeing. I want you to think about that in this point of time of interacting with the piece I want you to consider what time we are closer to. Beautiful nature scenes. Or pollution riddled lands all based off general human consumption and waste. This is just a snap shot of whats to come.. I'm taking my time with it cause I haven't used watercolour alot in the past. Stay tuned for more details and eventually a full piece shot and a more in depth description as the project evolves through the process.

"Tire Pile" 20.5 cm x 28cm This work is in consideration of how we are humans and society as a whole treat the land, landfills and tire piles instantly come to mind for me during my research, the tires are present because of how they get used, and tossed away creating piles of something that doesn't break down to give to the ecosystem around it, this also brings into question the generational gap of knowledge or just different worldviews coming to life through the generatio...ns but I remember growing up seeing things that I now know are harmful and wrong for the environment, in my recent studies, I have been doing a lot of research on environmental racism, some climate issues we face, pollution problems, this is a new root I'm taking with my art I'm sorry its kinda just about garbage but it's about making a statement now. further updates include I'm thinking of making prints for some more profit from my work, for anyone not familiar with prints they would be duplicates of my work or some digital works that I'm planning on doing as well eventually if the ideas get enough traction. PLEASE REACT TO THIS POST IF THIS INTERESTS YOU! as that is the only way I will know if this is a worthy venture for me for I have to spend money to make money in this instance. everything will be available on my website as well as a longer write up eventually of each work, everything is a work in progress still sorry.. but thank you for understanding and growing with me!

"Only Safe For You" 22"x30" Chalk pastel on black paper 2020 Everyone knows that Covid-19 is a serious threat right now and everyone should be wearings masks, but I'm not going to get into that argument. the argument I am wanting to bring up is how we as living beings within ecosystems directly affect it unknowingly, the example in this work of art is in my previous conversation was how masks are being discarded in Regina and Moose Jaw, far too many times I have seen masks... in the middle of the streets, tangled in bushes, all over parking lots. it's disgusting! we have seen far too many examples of masks around the legs of birds, around their necks, other animals are being tangled up in them and become easy prey. we are part of the ecosystem, we abuse the ecosystem, and it directly affects our neighbors. Unnecessary litter on the massive scale that we see on our planet and the destruction of their habitat will be the destruction of us. please buy masks, leave them in your vehicle, was them. there should no longer be a reason you are leaving your house without a mask. be safe everyone, we are not in the clear yet

Progress pics on a little project of mine. Time to make some art about the wonderful year of 2020. I wanted to make a visually beautiful image. And then throw something tragic into the mix. That be a mask. Now I am by no means anti mask. I'm pro mask. What I'm against is pollution. In the city of regina I come across alot of discarded masks in parking lots. The streets and side walks. This causes a issue because little critters can tangled up on the straps and it can be fata...l.. this great tit (chikadee) is fluttering in the air with a mask tangled around its foot unknowing that it has gotten snatched on a branch.. Cut the straps before you discard them. More pics to come!

Any of my friends and family members want some cards to hand out? Is there any local businesses that display buisness cards? Any family members or friends that run a buisness and want to display these cards? Message me and I'll mail or deliver them to you. Helping to get my name out there in any way is one of the biggest things you could do for me. It really helps me out and will hopefully bring in some commissions for me to start to do artist work. Message me for business cards. Commissions. Or related questions. Buisness will get a discount that display the work in public eye of course!

Guys go check out my new website! I spent a few hours creating it at go daddy. I hope to get a domain one day so hopefully having a website helps bring in some commissions and creates more traction to my page for buisness. I do want to start taking commissions. I'm working on getting more comfortable with digital drawings to bring the cost down for anyone who wants a piece by my without breaking either of ours wallets lol. I also spent some time and legitimized some things b...etween my Facebook and instagram accounts and now they are connected partially and considered buisness accounts so you'll be seeing some different aspects of my life on instagram. If you arent following me you can go follow @jordanwiltonstudios .im currently working on a commission for kelvington highschool. Hopefully I'll start getting more work to keep updating everyone on my daily life artistic life. When I finally got my diploma in the mail. Framed it. I realized that now I have the confidence to really start putting my neck out. Trying to use the resources I have to get my foot in the door for some shows. Researching how to get to where I want to be. Yesturday I spent the day creating the a website and designing some new buisness cards. I havent had buisness cards for quiet some time and I always regret not having them on me. When I get them would anyone be interested in helping me hand them out. Telling me which buisness would display my cards. Any friends that would hand some out. Any friends or anyone that runs a buisness contact me and if you want some art in your place of work contact me and I'll give you a really good discount on a commission for it be displayed in public view. Anything to help out an emerging artist is huge. Thank you to everyone who supported me this far. You guys encourage me to do more. The support is always amazing Instagram: @jordanwiltonstudios Website: https://jordanwiltonstudios.godaddysites.com/
