Looks great - think I’ll be detouring on my way home this evening!
Today, I offered condolences on behalf of the people of Borderland to the Royal Family on the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He lived a truly remarkable life and was a friend of Manitoba, having visited many times. You can sign the online book of condolences via: https://www.canada.ca//commemoration/send-condolences.html

Two pieces of good news: Manitoba's economy forecast to grow by a very robust 4.1 percent this year, followed by 3.6 percent next year. Our government has laid out a path to return to budget balance, and this not only helps protect taxpayers and the integrity of our services, but it also sends the right signals to investors and influences our credit rating, which impacts our debt servicing costs.
BUDGET2021 is #ProtectingManitobans by covering continuous glucose monitoring devices for eligible children and youth under the age of 25. We're also expanding the insulin pump program to age 25 to support more people with Type 1 diabetes.
Educators in K -12 facilities will soon be able to claim a 15% refund for up to $1,000 on eligible teaching supplies. #AdvancingEducation #AdvancingManitobans
Budget 2021 will reduce the Education Property Tax on residential and farm property by 25% this year, and a further 25% next year. Commercial property owners will also see a 10% decrease. For the average property owner in Borderland, this means you will receive a $400+ rebate cheque from the government this year, with a much larger rebate cheque coming your way next year.
