Well, folks, the Covid-19 virus is changing things daily, and for that reason, we have decided to postpone our March 24 I Talk to Strangers Event until it is more prudent to host this. Stay healthy, wash your hands often (the absolute best defense!) and we will let you know when this gets rescheduled. Take care!

Well it took some time dealing with a few technical glitches, but we can finally share some pictures from our very first I Talk to Strangers evening last week. We had 2 dynamic speakers who challenged us to think about what it means to be resilient. We had a great group of friends and strangers, who all seemed more like friends by the time the evening was over! We'll be doing it all over again on March 24 so make plans to come out and bring a friend or two! Location: Failte Irish Pub,201 City Centre Dr, Mississauga from 7 - 9 pm.

So very proud of Hardy Steinke today, as he graduated from the York Entrepreneurial Development Institute (YEDI). He was the most natural and eloquent speaker of all (natch!)and represented us and our future plans so well. Connections and friendships have definitely been made through this amazing opportunity. Well done, Hardy!

Our first COLLABORATION experience is with "I TALK TO STRANGERS", a wonderful organization that creates events where people are introduced to each other in their local community in a fun, informative and social networking way. A great way to meet and connect with people, and make new friends. Please let us know you are coming by registering using the link: https://www.meetup.com/I-Talk-To-Strangers-in-//267755055/

Next book club book is The Alice Network, and we'll be meeting on April 4th. Today, I noticed that Costco has this book for $12.69 - a bargain!

Dear Friends, When a 2 year old has a hurt, an 'owee' we want to kiss it and make it better! Easter is like God's kiss that makes everything better... Sadness gets turned into inexpressible joy!... Disappointment becomes an unexpected surprise new beginning! Brokenness and hurt get mended! Guilt and shame are overcome by mercy and grace! Hopelessness and weakness are changed into invincible power. Even Death is overcome by life! In Jesus Christ all of this is shown to be true. Because we are in Christ, it all happens to us as well! So, Happy Easter Everyone! Everyone! If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you. Romans 8:11

JCC gives back in our community! A group of us had fun sorting food for Eden Food for Change and learning about food insecurity in Mississauga. A very worthwhile organization helping the community access Good Food for All! Check them out at edenffc.org.

Hi folks! for those who were not at the service yesterday, please note that in the interests of the environment and costs, we will be phasing out paper/styrofoam cups for coffee and tea. Please bring a spare mug from home that you can leave in our supply cupboard. We will wash them each week. If you have an extra one to spare for a guest, that would be great too. Thanks everyone!!!
