Today was GREEN DAY at Joso's and we had so much FUN! Our classrooms were visited by a messy Leprechaun! We wish you all had a day full with pots of luck and loads of Happiness! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

DID YOU KNOW that Chinese New Year marks the transition between zodiac signs? 2021 is the year of the Ox. In Chinese culture, the Ox is a valued animal. Because of its role in agriculture, positive characteristics, such as being hardworking and honest, are attributed to it. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2021!

WELCOME BACK!...We hope everyone had great holidays and we wish you all the best for the New Year!....We want to share this lovely letter that we received this morning from one of the seniors in our neighborhood that our children sent holiday cards to. What a wonderful letter and what a way to start the new year! It really made our day!

Last week we enjoyed a virtual magic show, a virtual visit from Santa and a social distancing visit from Joso. The children had so much fun with their virtual Christmas Concert! Team Joso's wishes you HAPPY HOLIDAYS and all the best for the NEW YEAR!

Last week the children from Joso's Royal Oak made a banner for our Health Care Heroes at the Foothills hospital and the children from Joso's West Springs and Joso's Creekside made Christmas Cards for retirement home residents in their neighbourhood! We all enjoyed these wonderful acts of kindness!

Yesterday we all had FUN trick- or- treating within Joso's, making Halloween art and playing FUN games for Halloween! Joso's Creekside, Joso's West Springs and Joso's Royal Oak wish you all a Happy and Safe Halloween!

We are CLOSED today for Thanksgiving! We are all so thankful for the wonderful children who come to Joso's and their families. We are also thankful for our amazing staff who shows their passion for working with children on a daily basis and who has been our heroes during these difficult times. We are so thankful for everyone's help, patience and understanding while we navigate these unprecedented times. We are TRULY BLESSED! HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!.

It is hard to believe that it has been 3 weeks since we started our 2020-2021 School year at Joso's. All the children in our Full Day Junior Preschool, Preschool, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs are having a blast!...We are soooo excited about our new School Year and all the FUN activities that we have planned!...It's going to be another amazing year at Joso's!

This week children used their imagination to become little knights, princes and princesses at our Castle theme camp. They also transformed a tent into a castle where they had fun wearing their crowns and playing medieval time games! Thanks to Natalie from Lavish Canvas Glamping for setting up the magical tent for us. Next week we will explore the world of Art! Can't wait! We had so much FUN during our summer camp this week with our Dino theme. We were visited by a friendly T-Rex and the children got to take some dino toys home! Next week, we will have our Castle theme and Natalie from Lavish Canvas Glamping will be setting up a large sanitized castle shaped tent for our children to play. Last weekend, our Part Day staff wrapped up the school year by having a social distance farewell with all the children in the Part Day program. We would like to THANK all the families from the full day and part day programs (from both locations) for expressing their appreciation with words, gifts, signs, balloons, emails, reviews, etc. It has been a challenging school year for all of us, but all the positive energy has made a huge difference! THANK YOU to all the JOSO'S FAMILIES from the bottom of our hearts!

This week our teachers at Joso's Creekside and Joso's West Springs handed out portfolios, report cards, medals, certificates and social distance hugs, while keeping health and safety protocols. THANKS to all the teachers who went the extra mile to create great memories and to make these difficult times as normal as possible for the children! CONGRATULATIONS to our Graduates and to the families returning WE WILL SEE YOU SOON!

BIG THANKS to Frank from KP School Photography for coming to Joso's Creekside and Joso's Westsprings to take the end of the year and grad photos for all the children while wearing a mask and social distancing. He did a great job under the sun, rain and even hail! The children had FUN wearing their best clothes, as well as grad hats and gowns!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all our amazing dads and father figures out there! THANK YOU for every pick up, every drop off, for coming on field trips and school events, for volunteering to share your job and knowledge with us. THANK YOU for being so involved in your child's life experiences. We appreciate you!

Another FUNtastic Week at Joso's West Springs and Joso's Creekside! Playing and Learning together while staying apart!

Our Full Day program has reopened! Joso's West Springs and Joso's Creekside are NOW OPEN for our full day program only! We are so happy to see the children and their families again! We are following increased cleaning and sanitizing protocols and doing activities that promote social distancing. We are all having FUN staying apart together!

We have GREAT NEWS! Joso's Full Day Preschool program is reopening on Monday June 1, 2020 with limited capacity and new health guidelines to stay safe and healthy! Before we reopen, we would like to say THANKS to our own HEROES, our TEACHERS who have been giving up their own time to be in contact with the children and their families, sending activities, birthday wishes, doing zoom calls and keeping the sense of family and community that Joso's is known for. As you all know, due to COVID-19 we had to close our operations as of Monday March 16th. Our Preschool and Indoor Playground is very quiet and empty and we really miss our families! We had Christoper Cool the Magician booked as our entertainer for April, but given the circumstances we had to cancel the show. We have GREAT NEWS to share, Christopher Cool, our favourite magician will be hosting a live virtual show on Monday March 23 (10-4:30) full of MAGIC AND FUN! Click below for details. Cinderella and Belle came to visit our Full Day classes at Joso's Creekside on Valentine's day last Friday. THANK YOU SO MUCH to the parents who arranged the visit! We all had lots of FUN!

We had so much FUN this week with our Valentine's theme. We played, we sang, we danced, we enjoyed exchanging cards and making some art together and we SHARED with lots of LOVE!...HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to all of YOU from Team Joso's!

Last week, all of our families and teaching staff from our full day program in the Creekside and West Springs locations enjoyed their Winter Celebrations. The children got their face painted, visited with Santa and entertained their families with songs. Joso Bear even got to join in all the fun! We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

THANKS to all the families who donated food for the Calgary Food Bank last week! We collected 2 and a half large boxes of food for their clients. Your kindness and support are greatly appreciated!

Calgary Reptile Parties came to Joso's Creekside and Joso's West Springs this morning, and introduced us to some exciting animals! Jason explained to us all about responsible pet care and the importance of research before purchasing a pet. We learned all kinds of fascinating facts about each creature! THANK YOU Calgary Reptile Parties!

Calgary Reptile Parties is coming to Joso's! They will be at Joso's Creekside (9:00-9:30AM) and Joso's West Springs (10:30-11:00) this Thursday Nov 28th for a reptile presentation in the indoor playground! Everyone is welcome!
