We are using @thegoodandbeautiful space unit. The lessons are beautifully explained with easy to follow instructions for crafts. We integrated Islam into it by using the Quranic verses posters in our space journals. Swipe to have a look inside our journals. This would be appropriate for a six year old, typically in grade 1. B mostly writes the definitions down (if not too long) and loves the drawing, colouring and decorating bit. I encourage her to trace arabic words and try ...and read/recognize Arabic words and match them with their meanings. Teaching tafseer to children can be intimidating, and looking for authentic resources that are child friendly can be even more so. I got my hands on the mini tafseer series by @adduha.institute and I was so happy to see how thorough yet child friendly the content of the book was. The writing style of the book was wonderful - it could be a great read aloud for children 6 years plus or 8 year olds and above can read it independently as well. I really like how difficult concepts... were explained in such a simple yet engaging way. The book teaches Quranic vocabulary, asbab an nuzool ( reason/historical background of the revelation of the surah) and explains the meaning of each ayah in a conversational manner. To top if off, it ends with discussion questions, and colouring pages are peppered throughout the book to make it engaging. Over all a great purchase!
