Spring is in the air and cleanup has started! The herd has all been moved onto the track, planning out some new fence lines, more gates installed, still trying to organize the barn and shop and more upgrades in the house! Thank goodness for an early spring, we have a lot to do!
Spring is on it's way! Pictures of yesterday and of today after the rain was done. So happy to see grass again. I'm sure the horses are happy as well!
And just like that the rest of our hay is home. It has been an insane couple of months cleaning, organizing, trying to enjoy some fun family time as well as getting everything that we needed to be able to stack hay in the yard. Huge thanks to an awesome hay supplier who was willing to hold onto our hay until we were ready to bring the remaining bales home.
HORSE HAS BEEN FOUND! https://www.iheartradio.ca//heads-up-a-missing-horse-has-b Keep an eye out for this cute little mare on and around Dominion Drive.
Our girls have been rocking it! 19 eggs yesterday alone!
They're all happier when they're naked. The forecast for next week makes me think that they'll be needing their rainsheets again very soon tho.
It's been a busy couple of days here! Got to celebrate a special little girl's birthday with pony rides and some hot dogs and s'mores over a nice fire last night. Another great day outside today with our awesome boarders doing some clean up, another bonfire, some rides and getting everyone ready for the rain tomorrow! Fresh bales, full troughs, and rain gear on!
Mmmm one of our favourites for breakfast! Banana, tomato, yogurt, mixed greens, cherries and nice warm oatmeal! Don't worry, this isn't for us humans. It's for the chickens!
Nice day for a little ride .
The happiest of Saturdays.
Yay for new toys! Works pretty darn good if I do say so myself. Hay nicely stacked and tarped just in time for the snow to fly. The horses seem grateful that they now have free choice hay...
Pen cleaning day is always satisfying.
