Follow up from yesterday’s post, Dallas is still taking it easy but noticeably recovering and I just completed a 4km run. I downloaded the Runkeeper app and it’s quite helpful, I’ve never used a training app before but it was good to keep myself on pace and have the coach motivate me to keep going. I’ll be following a 6 week training program. I won’t bore you with daily updates but may check in every week or so, just for accountability. Day 2 my muscles are a little sore might need to apply some deep blue after the hot tub!!

Yesterday we broke Dallas again!! Poor guy had to be carried home, no more long walks for him!!! So today I went out for a RUN by myself for the first time in a very long time. I’ve got some work to do but I’m committed to getting my running legs back into shape. I popped a peppermint beadlet for some quick energy and rubbed some breathe on my chest to open up my airways and headed down to the waterfront trail. Beautiful scenery and a nice lake breeze... I’ll be back out tomorrow. Anyone want to join me in a fitness challenge and keep each other accountable? What are your new goals/routines for Fall?

Oops I think I broke my dog! Poor Dallas I took him out for a LONG walk last night and he came home limped over to the vent to cool down and went to sleep... did you know you can use essential oils on your pets? I felt so bad his poor little muscles and joints must have been aching, so I got out some frankincense and applied to his hips and knees, it’s safe for dogs and has wonderful anti inflammatory properties.
