I noticed there’s a lot of new peeps following me so I thought I should introduce myself again, sort of a #meetthemakermonday I’m Joycelyn (joss-lynn or if you’re my mom joss-Elle-in) I will answer to all bastardized versions bc I’m used to it. Joss is cool, Jaws really pisses me off though... Super Canadian, I’m sorry. I’ve always been into creating stuff but never found my passion until I found scrolling. I’m just the right mix of stubborn and determined so I taught myself to scroll while harassing so many makers it’s painful, posted some pics and somehow whipped my making into a full blown business. I just had to post a few more of these! This palette kills me! I actually pitched this design as a painted dip, and my client suggested the multilevel beauty we have today! He always has great ideas! I had some questions the other day about the raised dip, and here’s what I did:... I cut my 18 round for the backer, then without altering anything on my @milescraft2002 circle jig, I cut a semicircle out of 1/4 mdf, then I cut the straight edge on the scrollsaw. We went with 1/2 for ADAM, and 1/4 for Christopher so everything comes out to the same height because well, balance! So guys, here’s my advice. Try something you’re unsure of or even scared of because, it might just become your favourite. Have a great Monday peeps!
