As you may know, this year I experienced pneumonia and a prolonged recovery from that. The mental, emotional and physical challenges were really fertile ground for self-exploration because I experienced a lot of fear in relationship to my body. I also felt frustration at its limitations. And with the help of others, I started to realize that, while I felt like my body was failing, it was actually showing up for me SO. HARD. When was the last time I thanked my body for hel...ping me run? Walk? Laugh? Dance? Had I ever done that? I recorded this ~6min guide for us to sit in a space of appreciation for our bodies - particularly our lungs. You can carry this practice into your day when you have a moment, when you wake up, before going to sleep, or after a yoga practice.
