Load Coordinator / Dispatcher wanted for long haul Transportation Company. The Opportunity: The Load Coordinator / Dispatcher is the main point of contact for the Team fleet and provides coaching, guidance and solutions to problems to maximize the productivity of our drivers as well as Finding loads and Dispatching.... Key Accountabilities: Find loads and Dispatch fleet of long haul truck drivers within Canada and the USA, using Loadlink, Truckstop, etc as well as provide quotes to customers as requested. Fill out new applications/ checking credit info for new customers. Coordinate with order takers to ensure a high level of customer service is provided including updating customer, communicating and problem solving. Ensure the drivers and equipment in the fleet are compliant with safety regulations. Monitoring driver performance/miles and reefer requirements Assisting with the development of the required driver skills i.e.: Customs, Hazmat, Hours of Service, Policy, Regulations, Satellites, etc. Assisting with solutions regarding any driver concerns, inquiries, payroll, miles etc. Performs other duties as required What You Need To Be Successful In This Role: Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a related role in transportation (e.g. dispatch) Post-secondary degree or diploma of trucking, hours of service would be an asset. Full knowledge of oversize loads, permits, pilot cars, hazmat loads. ACE and Customs/border crossing experience Strong attention to detail Good communications skills (written and verbal) Strong self-discipline and initiative. Speaking punjabi would be an asset but not necessary. Creative and effective problem solving ability Ability to work with minimal supervision Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member An ex-truck driver would be perfect.
